Are old versions of Edge Server compatible with newer versions of the iOS client?

Generally, no. Your mobile client app can continue to collect data, but it won't be able to sync back to the server until you update it to the newest version. As a best practice, it is recommended to update both Edge Server and the mobile clients at the same time before a project begins.
