What is a geospatial PDF?

Geospatial PDF documents are documents that contain georegistration information which associate points on the PDF page with coordinates corresponding to places on the Earth. In general, there are two published techniques to make this georegistration. TerraGo software uses either at the author’s option when writing a georegistration, and Toolbar can parse either on consumption. All GeoPDF documents, therefore, are geospatial PDF documents, but not all geospatial PDF documents are GeoPDF documents. Learn more about capabilities between GeoPDF and geospatial PDF here.
